In cooperation with Danish Art Weaving Monica Ritterband has created a new kind of furniture material. The unique furniture material is called Cobblestones. Monica Ritterband found her inspiration in old, hand-cut cobblestones. The cobblestones lie side by side on the furniture material in a calm and repetitive pattern – but
still with an artistic interpretation in which you
notice that each stone in the material has its own profile and expression. The interaction between the individual cobblestones gives a feeling of a material that lives and breathes and that is both modern and timeless.
